Power Pruning Tools

Sometimes pruning requires a little extra power.  Pruning shears and pole saws for pruning are becoming increasingly popular, not just for professional use but around the home as well.

There are three power sources for pruning tools today: gas, electric and air (pneumatic).  Each has pros and cons.

Gas pruners provide superior power, durability and portability but are quite expensive, noisy and hard on the environment.  Pneumatic pruners are still scarce and very pricey as well but provide a lot of power and are quiet and clean.  Electric pruners are lightweight, quiet, inexpensive, and great for the environment but are limited in power, less rugged and tethered by a cord.

We've hand-picked each power pruning tool below, taking care to eliminate hedge trimmers, lawn edgers and other "non-pruners".  This means you can get straight to business!
