Rose Pruning Tools
Perhaps no other flower on this planet has received the attention and desire of humankind over the centuries than the rose. The floral equivalent of the diamond, roses fill the gardens of kings and paupers alike.
Pruning has a tremendous impact on the quality rose blooms and the density of rose bushes. It is also the primary method for height and shape management.
However, while the timing and technique of rose pruning has been the subject of many books (hence our special 'Rose Care Books' category below) the tools for pruning and trimming roses are not that different than those used for other garden plants. We do like handles that protect our hands from thorns (rose shears are better at this) and the thorn-stripper below is unique for roses.
Otherwise, the rose tools on this page or the pruners on our garden tools page will generally be sufficient for most gardeners.
